Help making a choice needed apollo or Blizz upgrade?
Hi Guys, i currently have 2 1240 cards A blizzard 1240 @40 and an apollo 1240@ 40.
I have only one latest mask 71E41J 68060 cpu and want to upgrade one of the cards...which one should i go for? I hear the apollos are slightly faster but i am sure the blizz is better quality overall and supports more ram. The apollo already has the mach131 chip fitted so it's ready for the upgrade bar the rom and regulator. Decisions...decisions |

Blizzard cards can take more RAM (256MBytes vs 64Mbytes) and are reportadly more stable than the Apollo (but I dunno if that applies when over clocked) and have a reasonable SCSI solution.
If non of that matters then you could certainly sell the Blizzard for more than the Apollo to recoup some of your investment. |

Thanks Alex, i think i may do the blizzard then the apollo at a later date when i can source another rev 6 cpu.
I have 2 A1200's on the go so would like to keep both, i am considering selling the A2000 to recoup losses as it doesnt get used with the 2 a1200's on the desk. |
