A4000 zorro Slot problems

Hi, I hae a problem with my A4000D zorro slots ( I think ).
The computer seem sto work fine, except when I put a zorro card in, such as the ZZ900 card, it is not detected. Nothing show's up in the boot diagnostic window, no cards found in "show config" or Sysinfo.

I have swapped out the existing rev 11 super buster, for another brand new one, but no change. I even swapped out the daughter/riser card for a spare one, still nothing detected.

What should I be looking at as a potential fault?

What is your config?

What cpu card do you have?

Sorry, its a Rev B motherboard, 2mb chip 16mb fast, 040 cpu. Rev 11 buster chip. CF card with adaptor.

I had the same symptom on my A4000T. It turned out to be a cold solder joint at the bridgette chip. Not sure if that applies also to the A4000, but it may as the chip is on both the A4000 and A4000T. Worth inspecting carefully that chip.

This happened to me, it could see some Z2 cards but they didn't work. Z3 cards were just not seen at all. Ended up being a Gal that went bad, U213.
