Deuteros to Amiga

Great game
Yesterday i have put it on disk.
It won't run on my Amiga 1200
So i stick it in my 500 (whit 512Kb extra)
And it runs like it never has done before

But er....today... I flip my 500 on, stick the disk in and WFT!!!
GURU????? GET SHIT

whit the code of #00000004.00c01570
Now what i get of the code is the 4 = Illegal instruction

Sometimes is does show the first screen, but then it fails

Have you checked the disk with a viruskiller? There could be a virus lurking in there.

I can hardly believe that there is a big chance of getting a virus on a NDOS disk.
[edit] unless you use one of those ugly crack versions

now i have downloaded Deuteros from a few sites, but all end up in a fail
My guess is that it is the copy protecting that is in the way.

As i have the original, but that has a failure on it . And the Data disk is missing from it

Does anyone can make a copy of his Original?

Ok i got a download from a other site
i stick it in my 500.....nothing....total nothing, but my drive makes a wiert sound, so i try millenium 2.2 .....same thing

Now i mounted a extra drive on it, i fliped a swich so DF0 will be death and DF1 will be DF0

and.....WHOOOOOO HOOOOOO IT RUNS

I take that internal drive out sometimes for a clean, maybe that helps

That's just it.
Consider that dusty disks may also lead to drives becoming unable to read disk data after a while!
The trick that involves blowing dust off the disk by removing the shutter (also described at CAPS site) helped me leave my A1000 shut tight many times already.
(and if you have once gone through the insanity of dismantling the A1000 and removing the internal drive you will understand why )
