converting .sit macintosh images to 880k

Hello,

I own a Macintosh Classic and have found http://homepage.mac.com/chinesemac/e...sk_images.html

some systems and nice tools but the problem is that I only have Amiga and this Macintosh plus and would like to convert these .sit image in order to make them be read on floppy 2SDD on my Macintosh Plues 1MB.

Any program to convert these .bin?

I don't have a Max OS X Macintosh just a pc.

Please help me!

Use StuffIt 2009 to unpack them.

Aladdin-Expander is the old name

They are packed. You need something like the StuffIt Expander.

Following a private discussion between ElCharro and myself, I uploaded to the Zone an archive containing a 720K Mac-formatted System 6.0.3 / Finder 6.1 disk image and the RAWRITE2.EXE program for writing the image to a 720K DOS-formatted disk on a PC.

The standard Macintosh format for DSDD disks is 800K. The disks are speed zoned, i.e. they spin faster when reading/writing the outer tracks than the inner ones in order to fit more sectors on the longer tracks.

For this reason, they cannot be written on a PC with standard hardware.

I wasn't sure whether the 720K MFM format could be read in the Macintosh 800K disk drive or not. It turns out that it can't.

A Macintosh with a HD floppy drive (Superdrive) or a Catweasel card for the PC is required to solve this problem.
