The Internet Archive's Arcade Games In Browser!

This looks interesting, arcade games that are playable in a web browser from The Internet Archive site-

They say this about browser support-
(Firefox is currently the fastest environment, although other browsers should work as well.)

I use firefox and the few games i tried worked fine for me.

Just tried Donkey Kong which seemed to run OK in Pale Moon (Firefox based), but I couldn't figure out how to even start the game, there is no key instructions.
Will try some others later.

It seems to be the same keys as MAME/MESS so its 5 to insert coin 1 to start. Arrow keys to control and CTRL and ALT and space for buttons. I tried Golden Axe and it runs ok in firefox but I got no sound.

OK thanks, will read up on the keys. Did you press the unmute button for the sound? On Donkey Kong there is a button under the emulation window, there is no sound on that either without clicking on unmute.

Yes I fixed the sound problem but I had to close the page down and reload it to make the sound work. Very stuttery though.

Yeah, I get the same. Must be a bug, I have Chrome on one of my other machines so will try it on that later.

In firefox i don't need to press a key to insert a coin or to start a game, in the top left corner of the browser is a little selector with Insert coin, Player 1 and Player 2 in it that can be clicked on.
It doesn't matter either way though i guess.
Also for some more info about the controls and stuff, read here-

Obviously it's still in it's early stages and there are some issues, notably with sound, but it should get better over time.
Personally i wouldn't play emulated games like this as i would prefer more control by using a proper emulator with roms.
But i'm sure web based emulation has it's purposes and could be handy at times.
