Big grin Heyho!

When I registered, I didn't find the "newbie introduction center", so this comes a bit late, as I found it now with the unread-post search...

Oh, and I know, why I didn't find it, I was new to this board, but not "New to Emulation or Amiga scene", so why isn't this area OT...?

---

So, heyho, I'm Bronko, maybe you know me from the GAC, or some Turrican pages.

Actually, there are cool features in Universal Soldier...

The way the wasps crash down, if you shoot them, or the eye-shaped energy capsules open up... And the animated cogwheels in the parallax background layer at the factory levels (Which are recolored ones of the foreground, but the effect is great)...

But then again, it's Universal Soldier. Damn!

----

"Show signature" is strangely not the default setting in this board.
So for those, who didn't activate it: Play the Turrican/T2002 Levelpack [ Show youtube player ]!

Hehe, I really enjoyed Universal Soldier back in the day, I had it before I'd even heard of Turrican so..........well I didn't have anything to compare it with. Underearth looks awesome btw.

Strangely, when testing this levelpack, I wished that the TAS 5.2 was able to do shock combos. Now, why is that ... .

Oh wait, you actually read the story? In a Turrican game?

But seriously, I don't know, what you mean with "shock combos"...

Of course I read the story in Turrican games (although I usually suspect right from the start that the story revolves around going and taking care of some evil dudes ).

As for shock combos, it is from Unreal Tournament (shoot a shock ball, then shoot the ball with the shock beam) from which the music is taken from (at least the music for the intro and the first level).

Ah that combo! Yeah, the CZ-Tunes and Ralph Weinert tracks (that were made for Underearth) start with part2.
The title- and game over musics in part1 are from CZ-Tunes as well, though.
