Question help with joystick under linux mint

is there any linux (mint) experts here who can help me getting my usb joystick to work? i have been searching the net for hours and already installed jstest-gtk and calibrated it.

the game i tried was beast legacy and my usb thrustmaster joypad is recognized and selected but not working at all.

ok, then let's try it the other way round. can you recommend a joypad that is known to be well supported under linux. my joypad is quite aged and i am looking for a replacement anyways.

ok, thank you for that precise tip. does it matter to choose the pc or xbox version with an adapter?

any other joypad that your've made good experience in regard to linux mint?

I am using the pc version (wired). I don't have any experience with any other on linux.

ok, i see. any special tool you installed additionally for this joypad?

is rumble effect supported, too?

Yes, a classic XBOX Controller-S with ubuntu_xboxdrv drivers.

the new controller is running fine out of the [x]-box
