installing installer

assistance pretty please. I am running winuae and have set up by following the tutorial. Now when i load winuae and the configuration i get what i am supposed to get, my problem is i run the shell system and typed in "programs:lha.run c:". I then checked my c: drawer and found lha in it. I then typed "lha x programs:installer-43_3.lha programs:" and get the error message "lha: unknown command". Any help pleasssssse. Maybe i should add that lha.run and installer-43_3 are in my programs directory.

lha

when i type in "programs:lha.run c:", it shows the following:

extracting lha_guide
extracting lha_68020
extracting lha_68040
extracting lha_68k
extracting lha_68k.readme.

when i look in the c: file of my system directory the following files are shown:

lha guide
lha_68020
lha_68040
lha_68k
lha_68k read me

As i said before when i type "lha x programs:installer-43_3.lha programs:" i get the message lha: unknown command.

I think, depending on your setting of WinUAE, you have to rename one of lha files. so, if you run a A500 setting than rename the lha_68K to lha.
For a A1200 settings rename lha_68020 to lha. Hope that make sense.

affleck lopos2000 is correct, looks like a step is missing

in shell to rename type the following:

rename c:lha_68020 c:lha and press Return/Enter

Ah I see what the problem is, there are two different lha.run versions.

The version I used and uploaded to http://guide.abime.net/wb3.1/files/lha.run extracts

LhA
LhA.guide
LhA_deutsch.guide
LhX

and lha.run from aminet (the one you used) extracts

lha_guide
lha_68020
lha_68040
lha_68k
lha_68k.readme

This is a pain. I tested thousands of times but did not spot this difference
