Pbs with winuae 1.4.2

Hi toni,

thanks a lot for implementing 68030 + FPU !!!! it works like my A1200 !!

Anyway, here is a bug report :

Leander has it's screen buggy, the background is not centered correctly,
and the end music is not playing and bug. (this pb was here on 1.4.1 too).

Ps : i have tested Leander SPS 496 with A500 config, and the problem is
here too.

can you add these in your bug list ?

thanks !!

How do you know it is a bug? (I am too lazy to play that far)

it does on every levels i join some screenshots.

It's a bug because :

- It works on my real A1230 (under whdload) and A500 ;
- The graphic bug appears on A1200 quickstart config/whdload version running under winuae.

on winuae 1.4.1 this bug is not here.

Previously you said it happens with A500 config..

WHDLoad issues are something I am not interested because it is 99.9% surely caused by usual timing things.

i mean that under real machine the problem is not here and was not present
on winuae 1.4.1 so it means the problem was introduced in 1.4.2....

But you still didn't say if it works in A500 configuration. I don't care about other configurations much, even if it worked previously or not.

(don't care = game made for A500 not running on other configurations, even if it runs on real A1200 for example)

toni, i mean that whdload is made to run games normally under A1200/1230
config. if leander screen has this bug, then other games can have some....

don't you agree ? Yes Leander has no graphic bug under A500 config BUT
has the sound fucked up in the end sequence. what would you need to investigate this bug ? a savestate ? just ask and i post it here.

I doubt Toni will look at this as he has just said that as long as it works on it's host config that's all that matters, if it fails under a foreign config then that's just a bit of hard luck.

He's striving for the best emulation of each Amiga model rather than a 'one size fits all' style of emulation.

Also, it's not 100% if you mean the sound 'messes' up under an A500 config or a A1200 auto config?

something weird happens when the final sequence appears. It does that with
the IPF under A500 quickstart and also under A1200 whdload config.
The sound is broken.....

i have tried the game with a A4000 config, same problem here.
The game background is going out of its screen array.

I don't use 68060, i use A1200/A4000 configs with 68030 and 68040.

can some people check leander slave 2.2 whdload version under A1200/A4000 ? In order to check if it's my config or bug in winuae ?

Why is it so important for you? I thought you play the WHDLoad games on your real machine.

very simple, if leander has this bug, then other games can be affected.

My A1230 has no pb lol

I was under the impression that Toni was aiming for 100% emulation on A500 only.. so A1200 and other hardware/clock speeds are not supported, if you can get things to work then you are lucky..

I am interested now because graphics error can't be caused by CPU settings, it is copper generated border and copper (and bitplanes) is always cycle-exact. (non cycle-exact copper would be totally useless in games..)

Does it work if you boot without startup-sequence?

I came across this last year. It's a bug in the game. Try the US (SPS 2351) version, which has the bug fixed. The US end sequence text is slightly different too.
