What if a game has no "build-in" HD installer, but all you have to do, is just copy it onto the HD, and it works?
I mean this one: http://hol.abime.net/?id=1907 Shouldn't it have be "HD install yes"??? With a little AGAoff on AGA machines it works just fine... at least on my A1200/020 |

I think copy to hd works only for dos games. try to copy all files to one new created folder. (I never didnt have a1200 :-( I have A500+ only without HDD.) Are there any A1200 on Poland for sale ? I want to buy one.) I can give you a few gigs (4, 12, 20gb) 2.5" >new< hdd as exchange)

Your're right.
But my point is, should the game be "yes" installable in the HOL. PS: There's often some on "e-bay" like pages for sale. Try www.allegro.pl. |

As long as there is no Install Script, you can definitely not call it "HD installable" |

Alrighty problem finally solved , i've got Sherman to work on my amy perfectly - by "installing" (simply put: copying ) a nice little 'runner'-tool from AmiNet called "RunShit"
Firstly my startup-sequence for that game looked something like this: CD <game folder> <insert name of a prog that changes screen to ntsc but doesn't work in this game anyways> <name of the game> <insert name of a prog that changes screen to pal> ...now there's only: CD <game folder> RunShit Sherman <put arguments here that turn everything off> SCREENMODE=NTSC ...and voila! just like on my good old A600 slow as hell and in (finally) NTSC |

Not quite - some games provided instructions for HD install in their manual which consisted of 'copy the game folder to dh0:' or similar. I would classify these as HD install = yes. |
