Firstly it would help if you use the latest version of WHDLoad, not an old one.

Are you running a TCP/IP stack? Make sure it's turned off before starting WHDLoad or you'll experience hangs.

Also, any other hardware installed? Some hardware (Catweasel, Buhdda, etc.) causes freezing in WHDLoad games.

3000T+A3640rev 3.2 - 040/25 (soon will be replaced with GVP G-Force040 i hope

tcp is not running of course, and its just plain fresh reinstall os 3.5 bb2.
(i had some problems with previous 3.5 inst. - badblocks and some file was corrupted due to bad termination before, but thats not a problem now)

no patches, only barclock for clocks in titlebar but its the same without barclock.

game runs cca 60 secongs and hangs, sounds stopped, only mouse pointer can be moved

I would try to boot without a startup-sequence and see how the games run then.

check your memory?

and perhaps you shouldn't be running an A1200 rom image on your ECS A3000T?

@slayer: yes, maybe that's it... 1200 is AGA, 3000 is ECS... perhaps that causes the prob... good thinking!

i will try to grab my own 3000 3.1 rom,
but what about 1.3, there isnt 1.3 rom for 3000.

"The game requires an installed A500 Kickstart 1.3 image.
The kickstart image must be located in the directory "Devs:Kickstarts" and
must be named "kick34005.A500".

Additionally the file "kick34005.A500.RTB" must be installed in the same
directory as the kickstart image. It can be found in the archive
"util/boot/skick345.lha" on aminet."

There are a few things you can do to help us:
  • Give us details of your startup-sequence, user-startup and anything in the WB-STARTUP draw.
  • List Name and slave version of the game that is not working.
  • List the tool-types in the icon of the game that is not working.
  • If you downloaded the Games off the interweb, check that there are no local copies of any WHDload core files (without icons) in the game directory (i.e. hacked WHDload's etc.)
  • CRC check your Kickstart 1.3 ROM, make sure it's not an encrypted one

Oh, BTW you dont need the Kickstart 3.1 file, or the kick40068.Axxxx.RTB files and probably should delete / move them.

They appear to be only for use with AGA slaves (Mainly CD32 ones) which of course you cannot run as you have an ECS A3000.

Not at all. You can still run some, if they need 3.1 but not necessarily AGA.
Example: games which need Kick2.x to run (mostly PD) have to use kick 3.1
Other example: some CD32 games are actually ECS conversions using CD32/3.1 rom (robocod)

So, it's untrue to say that A1200/A4000 ROMS are useless on a ECS computer
Furthermore, encrypted roms are supported by WHDLoad (since recently), and if a ROM is corrupt, the CRC is different, and that is also detected by WHDLoad.
