Hi guys!
I have some sound issues with my A600 it seems as one of the sound channels are "dead". Do you think my miggy needs too be recapped? Even my CD32 have same problem. |

A600/A1200/CD32 all need to be recapped at some point.
So yes, recap it before the damage gets worse. Your sound issue is probably related to capacitor death. |

you should have them recapped BEFORE you have issues... as when you get issues. recap is not all that you need to do. you need to do repairs aswell

My A1200 lost sound in one channel - got it recapped and repaired.
Suspect you may need the same. Good luck. |

Yup, it needs a track repair to fix the audio and a recap to stop further damage. Caps in 600s and 1200s started going bad around 10-15 years ago so if it has not been recapped already, it is way past due..

Amigas seems to have a nack of losing the audio, especially 4000s it seems. You might need to fix more than just the needed capacitor replacements - I think there might be something about diodes installed the wrong way around too.
(My 4000 lost one side of audio and that wasn't just so all the channels played through the other side.) |

on the 4000 there are 2 caps mounted the wrong way.. so those caps leak more.
