The Euro is a good 25% weaker today compared to a year ago when the project was planned. Since I pay all of the material in USD, but my main accounting is in EUR, I'd be suffering quite some damage if I keep the originally-planned price of 149,- EUR per board. It'll be 159,- EUR per board.

These boards come without SID, without PLA and without CPU. These can be added separately, which will take you across the 200,- EUR mark. Sorry guys, but low-quantity hardware production has never been cheap. Especially not if there's 258 SMD components and 31 through-hole components on the board. Size-wise, this is the biggest board I have designed so far in my career. The number of components is close to what my VDSL2 modem has, but those get produced in much higher quantities.
