In England at least. In France, the CPC market share was 60% in 1990.

The ST and Amiga were only 10 and 11% respectively.

The speccy ports were an english specific. The spectrum as you know it in UK never had any success in France, where it was seen as a prehistoric computer from the start of its selling in shops.
