Well I am thoroughly confused, as I Said, I wired it as above, and it's working.
What I made though, maybe this is why, is an adapter. I connect a SCART RGB cablefrom teh console to my cable which has a female socket. Does that make sense?
So it;s like
1084 <--> my adapter with female SCART <--> male SCART RGB cable from console/computer
