Some of the chips can be found NOS, like the 010 CPU and CIA which is what I put in my board (the NOS CPU was then replaced with the Vampire which is surely new ). The custom chips are probably hard to find as new/NOS though. But yes, an old recapped and non-damaged A500+ board is basically the same, except for the board color. My old 500+s all have battery damage to some extent though and although it can be repaired, you'd have to be a wizard to make the repair invisible and have it look undamaged again.
