It's not an a500 + that you have by any chance? There is known compatability issues with some games on this machine.
There are disk cleaners available on e-bay, might be worth a try.
There is something called a kroflux and a supercard pro pcb.
Someone with one of these could make a straight copy of beast 2 for you but I guess the printed font would be missing from the disks.
