The very purpose of the check4gb program is to check a system's drivers and file systems to help users confirm they have a >4GB proof setup.
I don't know its inner workings, but it did give incorrect reports for PFS3AiO, and it was Thomas himself who said Check4GB was obsolete and to use hddreport instead on EAB earlier.

I see a new version 1.6 of Check4GB is out, which according to the readme has fixed TD64 and HD_SCSICMD tests, so I suppose it might not be obsolete any more though
