They are 1Mx4 static column ZIP RAM. So 8MiB would be 16 chips which you would fit in BANK0 and BANK1. Leaving 16 ZIP sockets AND the DIP fast sockets empty. Also you will need to set the jumper J852 to position 1-2 which is for 1M parts. (If you had 1MiB DIP Fast previous jumper J852 will be in position 2-3 for 256K parts)

Check all the parts in BANK 0. I have read that the A3000 tests only BANK 0 during "POST" too determine if the chips are FP or SC.
