I recall Bernoulli SCSI removable drives having 256-byte sectors. I remember the original GVP scsidev.device 'Advanced Autoboot v2.2' ROMs being the ones needed to deal with it until later gvpscsi.device 3.x and higher handled things much better. I also recall forcing Quantum disk drives into 2048-block mode for testing. Although not a FFS/OFS issue, I somehow recall there being some CD-ROM devices that in some modes could return 256-byte sectoring. <br />
