I had downloaded the game to give it a try later, after seeing your post.
I'll report if I have the same issue (if you have a save game or a password, feel free to PM me so that I can try as soon as possible).
Have you checked Windows Event Viewer logs for error messages? (Win key + R -> eventvwr)
