I have however found the problem and it was in the power house...
Right next the the machine that didn't work is a switch, which you pull when you first go in. From that point on is where the evil blue minion appears. Not sure if it's them but you need to go back to the up position and all is good.

Start the game again mate, it's waiting for you to finish it...thanks again for showing the interest. I've got a game to finish!
