I've not read the other previous threads discussing this recurring topic, but for 2-player platform co-operation, at least on all the games I've played, I really don't think you can beat Bubble Bobble. For gameplay, anyway.
Spent many hours with a mate of mine trying to get past all 99 levels, working together, only to fall at the final hurdle, the end-of-game baddie which was really hard to kill! Never did complete it... and now I live in the USA so I doubt I'll ever play this game with that same friend of mine ever again :-(
Who else likes Bubble Bobble? I'll team up with them for a go at finishing it!! ;-)
