Hallo Tom,
I kept experimenting with the motherboard.
I unplugged the sata disks and used only one pata disk connected to the on board controller.
If I use kernel4, without sata extensions, or snk40-a.gz, the emulation doesn't start.
with ram 1 it stops on the boing ball screen and the keyboard LEDs flash.
With ram0 the emulation starts but I only have garbage on the screen.
Instead if I use the kernel310 amithlon starts.
At this point I think I'll be using kernel310 and giving up sata drives.
But I don't know if there is a compiled kernel310 module for the 8111 network card or if I need to install an 8139.
