What mess?
Apollo Team is working towards their goal, and at the end of it (or as it goes along I should say) they offer an option for users.
If thats not your cup of tea, there is;
ACA accelerators
Old legacy accelerators via Amibay or ebay etc
Jens's future Reloaded project
And others
OR you can decide to go with WinUAE/AmigaForever/Amikit.
Plenty of options for your retroexpirience. Neither is the holy grail.
