Whats the function of Stopped M68K CPU idle mode in WinUAE? Is it to speed up PPC emulation in single/multi core computers?

While it seems to speed up CPU emulation in OS4.1 (not FE), Paula/SB128 sound starts to play distorted on my machine with this setting slightly moved to right, unfortunately.

I dont have problem with sound, but I wanted to get some more speed with this setting on.
