It is actually writing the gameslist file to disk, which can take a while if you have many games, so I understand why Troels would want it gone. Also it might wear down a CF card relatively fast if you run many games through iGame.
I have made a patched version which does not write the file when executing a game, so try the attached version. It seems to work for me, but there may be side effects, as I just removed the call to write the file.
