Since I loved the original arcade, I remember buying this game back in the day because in magazine stills it looked arcade-perfect.
Truth is, Amiga port is way way way worse than I remembered: sluggish, floaty, with missing/wrong graphics, completely lacking any sense of progression, and when regular enemies are tougher than bosses (which in turn are a complete joke) you know the game is a complete mess!
Only thing faithful to the arcade is the amazing music, which is kind of expected with David Whittaker at the helm.
Probably all the development money went in his salary, the track loading routine and in that goddamn coins animation (which even slows down everything on my machine, but maybe it's a problem of Earok's version/WHDLoad slave, I don't know...)
Did a run nevertheless just to see how far could I go:
