As it stands, as a retro enhanced accelerator for a reduced niche segment, the Vampire is great hardware and the Apollo-core a cool hack.
But that being said, please dont ever again speak about a chance of getting it into an asic, because I can bet you all the money in the world that both Intel and NXP will sue Apollo guys to their ass to protect their IP. They have done it numerous times, and they have assured they will continue that way. And from the veredicts they got in all those cases, it seems they can litterally crush anyone.
