CAPS is the Classic Amiga Preservation Society and is the team that has created the IPF format.
IPF is Interchangeable Preservation Format and is the suffix of disk images created by the CAPS team. IPFs are images of original disks, with the protection intact.
You can use IPFs like ADFs except that they are read-only. To use them with WinUAE you need to download the CAPS user plugin here:
