I own several of the creators other books and I can verify that these are
not 'picture books' in any way.
The Ocean & C64 books are much,
much more in depth than some people in this thread give them credit for and contain full histories, interesting interviews and yes - pictures.
However, don't take my word for it, check his site here:

As such, I'm looking forward to his Amiga book as well
