I had the problem up until a few months ago of being unable to play 4:3 aspect ratio PC games and emulators in full-screen on a 16:9 monitor, but then someone told me that there was an option in the 3D card's graphics driver to maintain the aspect ratio always. I've been as happy as a sand boy ever since!
