Hard to tell, it is more like spin-off, but I feel it fits to BD world. I think least related is ThunderDawn, which is more fantasy than sci-fi. Also there is a story missing in many parts.

Yes, but the entries are named after the real game name. For example Hellbound - it is only Dawn, not Black Dawn. But has no. VI in its name. Naming of those games was really confusing.
