Like Marmes writes, import taxes are your concern as the importer. It is a pity, but it wouldn't be reasonable to expect the manufacturer/reseller to cover that part.
You can always sell it locally, and due to the customs wall, perhaps the local used value is as high as the new price (excluding customs taxes).
