This is something I was wondering about but I never asked:
since the original battery is NiCd, then a current is flowing from the board *to* the battery (in order to recharge it). If we (on A501 too) put on a Lythium battery (not rechargeable) instead of a NiCd or NiMh, will the current not damage the battery sooner or later? Or (not probable but possibly) damage the board?
