None of those I'm afraid. It was a regular console controller. Could only have been Nintendo or Sega. We would steal them from my friends annoying little brother [1] just to play Barbarian!
Found it. Of course it's the Sega Master System!
On a related note I received 3m of 9 core cable today which I plan to use to convert a cheapo SNES style controller for use in a C64/Amiga.
