I've been convinced for some time that there is a big KS ROM conspiracy. :-)

And agreed, don't pay that much for Amithlon, if anything. I bought my original Amithlon package (complete with a silkscreened, pressed CD-ROM!) before the legal proceedings began, but later Bernie denied HP rights to sell the product.
