You could try this :
  1. Start the AVI capture
  2. Start DynaBlaster (let it run in demo mode or whatever for a few seconds)
  3. Hit F12, move the CPU idle slider two or three notches right (starting from far left)
  4. Play the part you want recorded
I'll assume the sound buffer is set to 2 or 3 during your attempts.
