I always wanted to make a remake of this game... The stylized graphics looks so unique, at least for it's day. I think it might have been influenced by the German 1926 movie "The Adventures of Prince Achmed" which had a similar silhuoette animation technique going on (it's the oldest surviving animated film).



As far as I recall, gameplay consisted largely of walking through the landscape, fighting the occasional giant spider and whatnot, and entering archways to the next area. There were some potions or other items to be collected as well.

Could the gameplay be improved in any way, keeping in mind the graphical limitations? Maybe make the silhuoette graphics a central piece of the gameplay, like the indie game "Closure" ?
