Just using ReLoKick you can get most games to run on a 500+ so yes it is mainly due to the KS. I had a 500+ back in the day while most of my friends had 600s and for some reason I was able to load some games with ReLoKick that they could not. Either it must have been some difference between KS 2.04/2.05 or PCMCIA/IDE in the 600 making some difference?

Either way, I was happy with my 500+ back then (I much preferred WB 2.0 over 1.3) and had only few issues with games that would not work.
