As Trixster says adding extra wires is not strictly necessary. Adding 4 wires to one 5V pin on the A4000 isn't likely to help at all if the ATX Power supply is not up to task. For me, it did help as otherwise all of the 64MB on the A4000 motherboard was not showing up. Sometimes it would be 24MB or 40MB and so on.
Like Trixster on some of the other systems, usually when I measure a concerningly low value for 5V on say the Voodoo or PPC card then I add another pickup, this is more an issue with the A4000 in a desktop case, as the Towerized A4000Ds have the extra AT connector on the busboard.
