It depends on the data and how bad the match is. For example, if you select a small selection of near identical tiles, or a "run" of tiles that match lots of times (eg. a sequence like 1,2,3,4) it will find thousands of matches, and its also searching for any sequence that's similar in case your offset was wrong. So if the game has 2,3,4,5 it'll find that too.

Your best bet is to make a selection of tiles at least 3 rows of 3 (or 2 rows of 4) and you should have far better luck. If it matches to a sequence like "0,0,0 and 0,0,0 and 0,0,0" you'll probably find it locks up as there will be hundreds of thousands of matches and it's not a threaded search in the current version.

I'm aware of it but spare time is a rare thing.
