The MiSTer FPGA version of Minimig emulates a 68020 CPU at 113MHz. In SysTools it benchmarks to a little more than 3x faster than a 3000 and .72x as fast as a 4000 with a 68060 at 50MHz.
Hard drive transfer speeds are a bit slow. I don't know for sure if that's just my micro SD card or not but I'm only getting about 115KB/sec out of it. Other platforms perform much better though so I'm inclined to say that the IDE emulation isn't optimized very well.
Overall though it's on par with your better class of 1200 accelerator boards and cost-wise you're getting a great Amiga experience for relatively little money, not even taking the dozens of other systems you can now access into account.
I've got mine running a pretty fully stocked WHDLoad partition and haven't run into many problems once everything was configured properly.
