extralife really said all you need to know in his reply above.

The maximum amount of RAM you can add using conventional memory expansion is 8MB.

A far better choice would be to add an '030 accelerator card which would allow you to add 32MB maximum, but 16MB is all that you should need.

Manufacturer recommendation is inappropriate here. I would just grab anything you can get.
