This is true. It's always been a part of M$ strategy to have the competitor's product perform poorly. If it doesn't, their stronghold on the OS practically guarantees their capability to make that a reality. During the old Netscape vs IE wars when the two were neck to neck, ex-employees of M$ claimed certain procedures were taken to make certain products functioned poorly under the OS. It was dismissed since this revealed info broke non-disclosure agreements signed by the ex-employee. And even knowing this, nobody really seemed to much give a shit that their 'preference' of the competing M$ brand was via sabotage of the competition. I just cannot reward that mentality with my support...
