Bluetooth would be no different then connecting with a NULL modem cable. You would still have to first connect to a host PC to share its internet connection. A WiModem plugged directly in to the C64 or Amiga needs no other computer to connect as it can connect directly to the router and hence the internet.

Same with the Raspberry Pi method. You still have to connect to that and it has to be setup and nearby. So yeah that is a great solution for the tinkerers but *anybody* can use the WiModem because it is that easy...

For me it boils down to convenience. I could easily set up a RPI or null modem cable (which I have done in the past with Amiga Explorer) but this is so much easier and I don't need any other computer near by to use is.
