Your original error message is a corrupted version of such message, like output got altered by some escape characters or something.
Is your installation a Windows directory? Maybe SS got converted to some other codepage (spaces not being ASCII spaces) or something... Did you edit it in some Windows text editor? Coding is supposed to be Unix (LF) ANSI

YES !!! You are right, this was the pb. I opened using "ED" the startup-sequence, cleaned some "space" around the problematic line and now it boots without pb. Many thanks, rutra80 :')
I have indeed opened the startup-sequence in a Windows editor and most probably accidently pressed an "esc" key or something like.
I did use a windows editor because ED is so slow and unfriendly ;')
Anyway, many thanks to all who answered.
