I got my hands on a cheap Apollo 1230 mk3 accelerator. I got a 32mb sim with the card. Unfortunately with that simm installed A1200 won't boot at all

After a while I get a "red acreen"... If I change the simm to another (4mb/8mb) I get the ClassicWB Lite running from the hd, but I get 0 bytes other memory reported... I have tried to set the jumpers (RAM/WAIT/SCSI) in every possible way, but still the same. Is the card defective (GRR!!) or what?

Any clues?
