They are very easy and very cheap to make as long as your monitor doesn't mind 50/60Hz vertical refresh.

You can make a 16-bit (RGB 5:6:5) scandoubler yourself with about $25 (£15) worth of parts. (How much detail do you want?)

However most people seem to complain about 16-bit ones.

But why bother? Just buy a ready made one.

If you cannot find an Amiga specific one, ask Roy Ritty, he makes 16-bit external scandoublers for $48
