I used to have this with an a500 PSU, and never had any probs:
030/28 + 68882/33 + 8MB Fast accel.
IDE 4x VOB adapter
External 3,5" HD 20GB @5400rpm
External IDE CD-ROM
Internal DCE scandoubler/flickerfixer
